Page title: Terms and Conditions · Shopify slug: terms-of-service
1. Scope
(1) These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") define the conditions applicable to every transaction carried out through the online shop at norvek.com between the shop operator (hereinafter "NORVEK", "we", "us") and the buyer (hereinafter "you", "Client"). Our catalogue covers goods within the home and garden sectors.
(2) A consumer under these Terms is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly unrelated to any commercial, craft or self-employed professional activity. A business client is any natural or legal person, or a legally capable partnership, who acts in the exercise of their trade, craft or profession at the time the agreement is concluded.
(3) Any conditions submitted by the Client that are at variance with, depart from or supplement these Terms shall be incorporated into the agreement solely where we have provided our explicit written acknowledgement.
2. Contracting Party and Contact
The sales agreement is concluded between you and the operator of NORVEK. Full legal particulars of the provider are published on our Legal Notice page.

3. Conclusion of Contract
(1) The display of home and garden goods in our online shop does not represent a legally binding offer; it is a non-binding invitation to browse our catalogue and submit an order.
(2) By clicking "Buy" / "Place order" / "Pay now", you submit a binding offer to purchase the items contained in your shopping basket.
(3) Acknowledgement of receipt and acceptance of your order are issued simultaneously — you will receive both immediately following submission of your order via an automatically generated email. The sales agreement becomes legally binding upon despatch of that confirmation.
(4) We retain the contract text and send it to you alongside these Terms by email. The version currently in force may be accessed at any time at norvek.com/terms-of-service.
(5) All agreements are formed and carried out in the English language.
4. Prices and Shipping Costs
(1) Every price displayed on the website includes the applicable statutory Value Added Tax. Delivery charges are presented as a separate item at the checkout stage.
(2) For shipments to countries outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, customs duties, local taxes and other levies imposed by the destination country may apply, and these are borne entirely by the Client.
(3) Comprehensive details of delivery fees and estimated timeframes are available on our Shipping & Payment page.
5. Payment Terms
(1) The following payment methods are accepted: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. We reserve the right to exclude specific payment methods in individual cases.
(2) The full purchase amount falls due upon conclusion of the agreement.
(3) Where payment is made by credit card or via PayPal, the charge is applied to your account immediately upon completion of the order.
6. Delivery
(1) Goods are sent to the address provided by the Client. Applicable timeframes are clearly indicated on each product page and again at the point of checkout.
(2) Should delivery prove unsuccessful after three attempts, we are entitled to withdraw from the agreement. Any sums already received will be returned to you without delay.
(3) Where delays stem from force majeure or other events beyond our control, the relevant delivery window shall be extended by a corresponding period. We will notify you promptly in such circumstances.
7. Retention of Title
All goods despatched remain the property of NORVEK until the purchase price has been received in full.
8. Right of Cancellation for Consumers
Consumers benefit from a statutory right of cancellation. Complete details and the model cancellation form are provided on our Cancellation Policy & Returns page.
9. Warranty and Liability for Defects
(1) Statutory provisions on liability for defects apply without restriction. For consumers, the limitation period for claims arising from defects in the goods is two years from the date of delivery.
(2) For second-hand goods, that period is reduced to one year from the delivery date.
(3) If a delivered item proves defective, please reach us at contact@norvek.com.
10. Liability
(1) We accept unlimited liability in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as within the scope of applicable consumer protection legislation.
(2) In cases of ordinary negligence, our liability is confined to breaches of an essential contractual obligation — one whose fulfilment is indispensable to the proper execution of the agreement and upon which the Client may legitimately rely. In such instances, recoverable damages are capped at losses that were foreseeable and characteristic of this type of contract.
(3) Our liability for loss of life, bodily injury or harm to health remains without limitation.
11. Dispute Resolution
(1) The European Commission operates an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
(2) We are neither willing nor obliged to engage in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
(1) The contractual relationship is governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales, with the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods expressly excluded. In relation to consumers, this governing law applies only insofar as the mandatory protections afforded by the law of their country of habitual residence are not thereby removed.
(2) Where the Client is a merchant, a body corporate under public law or a public-law special fund, the courts at our principal place of business shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising from this agreement.
13. Final Provisions
Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid or unenforceable, whether in whole or in part, the validity of all remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The applicable statutory provision shall take the place of any clause that cannot be upheld.
